Terms of Service

§ 1. Introductory provisions and definitions

1. These Terms govern the use of all ConverterSEO services, namely:

• the website at converterseo.com, including the free online Converter and the individual format pages;
• the customer panel at app.converterseo.com;
• the ConverterSEO Plugin for WordPress.

2. The service provider is DESEO DESIGN spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, registered office in Katowice, al. Korfantego 125a, 40-156 Katowice, Poland, entered in the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register under KRS 0000975111, VAT ID (NIP) 9542841278, REGON 522194951, email admin@converterseo.com (the Provider).
3. Definitions used in these Terms:

• Service — the sites converterseo.com and app.converterseo.com together with the customer panel.
• Plugin — the ConverterSEO plugin installed by the Customer in their own WordPress installation.
• Online Converter — the free tool available in the Service that converts image files to WebP entirely inside the User's browser, without sending files to the Provider.
• User — any person using the Service, including the Online Converter, also without creating an Account.
• Customer — a natural person, legal person or organisational unit using the Service or the Plugin.
• Consumer — a Customer who is a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
• Entrepreneur with consumer rights — a natural person concluding a contract directly connected with their business activity where that contract is not of a professional character for them.
• Account — the Customer's data in the panel, protected by a password.
• Licence key — the string issued after creating an Account, used to connect the Plugin to the Account.
• Business profile — the description of the Customer's activity entered in the panel, on the basis of which Descriptions are produced.
• Description — the set of metadata generated for one image in one language: title, alt text, description and a proposed file name.
• Plan — a paid service variant or the free plan.
• Payment operator — Paddle.com Market Ltd, a company incorporated in England, acting as merchant of record for the paid ConverterSEO services.

§ 2. Types and scope of services

1. The Provider supplies the following services:

• a) Image compression to WebP — performed entirely on the Customer's own server, by the Plugin, using that server's image library. Files are not sent to the Provider or to any third party for this purpose. The service is free and unlimited on every Plan, including the free one, and requires no Account.
• b) Media library audit — a list of images missing alt text, a title or a description. Performed locally, free, unlimited.
• c) Online Converter — a free tool available in the Service, requiring neither an Account nor registration. Conversion happens entirely inside the User's browser, using its own image engine. Files are not sent to the Provider or to any third party and do not leave the User's device. The Provider neither stores nor has access to the files processed.
• d) Generating Descriptions — a paid service requiring an Account and a Licence key. Descriptions are produced using an artificial intelligence system on the servers of the Provider and its sub-processor (§ 9).

2. One Description is one image in one language. Generating Descriptions for one image in four languages consumes four Descriptions from the Plan allowance.
3. Descriptions are produced automatically and are proposals. The Customer decides whether to apply them and may change them freely before or after publication.
4. Renaming a file is optional and performed only on the Customer's explicit instruction. The Plugin does not rename a file already used in a published post, set as a featured image, or present in a product gallery.

§ 3. Technical requirements

1. Using the Service requires a device with internet access, a current web browser with JavaScript enabled, and an active email account.
2. Using the Plugin requires WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, and the GD or Imagick image library with WebP support on the Customer's server.
3. The Provider is not responsible for the Plugin being unusable because of the Customer's server configuration, in particular a lack of WebP support or memory and execution time limits set too low.
4. What the Online Converter can do depends on the User's browser. In particular, the HEIC format is readable only in Safari — a limitation of browsers, not of the Service. The practical size limit for a single file follows from the browser and is around 40 megapixels.

§ 4. Account and Licence key

1. Creating an Account is free and requires an email address and a password, followed by confirmation of the address.
2. After creating an Account the Customer receives a Licence key, which they enter in the Plugin settings.
3. The Business profile is tied to the Licence key, not to the Account. One Account may hold several keys, each serving a separate Business profile — a design intended for agencies running multiple sites.
4. The number of websites on which a key may run at the same time follows from the Plan. For this purpose the Plugin transmits the address of the site on which it runs.
5. The Customer undertakes not to share the Licence key with third parties.

§ 5. Plans, prices and payment

1. Current Plans and allowances are set out in the price list available in the Service. As at the date of these Terms:

2. The seller of the paid services is the Payment operator — Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle handles payment, issues the invoice and settles VAT. Paddle's name, not the Provider's, appears on the bank statement and on the invoice. Paddle's own terms apply in addition. This applies to all Customers regardless of country, including Customers in Poland.
3. Prices shown in the Service are net of VAT. VAT is added at checkout according to the Customer's country and any VAT number given.
4. The price shown in the Service is retrieved from the Payment operator's system and matches the amount the operator will actually charge, in the currency of the Customer's country.
5. The subscription renews automatically for a further billing period unless the Customer cancels it beforehand.
6. Price changes do not affect billing periods already paid for.

§ 6. Allowances and billing periods

1. The Description allowance resets at the start of each billing period.
2. Unused Descriptions do not carry over and expire at the end of the period.
3. Once the allowance is used up, generation stops until the start of the next period. No additional charges are applied automatically. Compression and the audit continue to work.
4. On the free plan the allowance of 5 Descriptions is granted once and does not reset.

§ 7. Changing and cancelling a Plan

1. The Customer may change Plan at any time.
2. An upgrade takes effect immediately, with the price difference charged pro rata.
3. A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing period.
4. The subscription may be cancelled at any time. The service runs until the end of the paid period and does not renew.

§ 8. Right of withdrawal

1. A Consumer and an Entrepreneur with consumer rights may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving a reason.
2. The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content not delivered on a tangible medium where performance began with the Consumer's express prior consent and after they acknowledged that they would thereby lose the right of withdrawal, and the Provider gave them confirmation of that consent.
3. By placing an order for a paid Plan the Customer requests that performance begin immediately upon payment and acknowledges that, once it begins, they lose the right of withdrawal referred to in paragraph 1. The Provider records the date and time of that request and makes confirmation of it available to the Customer on request. Confirmation of the payment itself is sent by Paddle as the seller of record.
4. The free plan allows the service to be tested on 5 Descriptions without entering card details, before any paid contract is concluded.
5. A model withdrawal statement is set out in Annex 1.
6. The Provider does not grant a refund guarantee beyond the rights arising from the law. This does not prevent the Payment operator from granting a refund under its own terms.

§ 9. Data processed when generating Descriptions

1. In order to generate a Description, the Plugin sends the Provider the content of the image and its type, together with the Licence key and the Customer's website address.
2. The image is passed to the Provider's sub-processor — Anthropic PBC — which performs the image analysis. The image is not stored, either by the Provider or persistently in its systems; it is processed only for as long as the request takes.
3. The Provider stores: Account data, the Business profile, Licence keys, the addresses of sites where a key has been used, subscription data and usage statistics (date, type of operation, language, units consumed). Neither the content of images nor the content of generated Descriptions is stored.
4. The Customer declares that they hold the rights to the images submitted for processing and that processing them does not infringe the rights of third parties.
5. Images submitted by the Customer may contain personal data, in particular images of individuals. To the extent that the Provider processes such data on the Customer's instruction, the parties are bound by the Data Processing Agreement set out in Annex 2. Anthropic PBC acts as sub-processor.
6. Data retention periods:

• Account data, the Business profile and Licence keys — for as long as the Account exists;
• an inactive Account, meaning one with no login and no request for 24 months — deleted after prior notice to the Customer by email 30 days in advance;
• usage statistics — 12 months from the date of the event, after which they are dissociated from the Account;
• billing data and invoices — for the period required by tax law, by the Payment operator as seller.

7. The Customer may at any time request earlier deletion of the Account and its data, save for data whose retention is required by law.

§ 10. Rights to the output

1. Rights to the generated Descriptions belong to the Customer, to the extent that such rights can arise. The Provider makes no claim to them.
2. The Provider does not warrant that Descriptions are unique. Because the service is automated, descriptions of two similar images may be similar.

§ 11. Plugin licence

1. The Plugin is made available under the GNU General Public License v2 or later, as required by the WordPress.org repository.
2. The GPL licence covers the Plugin code only. Access to the Description generation service requires a valid Licence key and is governed by these Terms.
3. The Provider's trade marks, logos and graphic materials are not covered by the GPL licence and may not be used without consent.

§ 12. Complaints

1. Complaints may be submitted by email to admin@converterseo.com or in writing to the Provider's registered office.
2. A complaint should contain data identifying the Customer and a description of the objections.
3. The Provider considers complaints within 14 days of receipt.
4. Complaints concerning payments, invoices and refunds are handled by the Payment operator — Paddle.com Market Ltd — under its own terms.
5. A Consumer may use out-of-court complaint procedures, including the European Union ODR platform and the assistance of a district consumer ombudsman.

§ 13. Liability

1. The Provider ensures that the service conforms with the contract on the terms set out in the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
2. The Provider does not guarantee any particular position in a search engine or any particular increase in traffic. Search rankings depend on factors outside the Provider's control, including the algorithms of search engine operators.
3. The Provider is not responsible for the consequences of the Customer applying generated Descriptions without reviewing them.
4. The Online Converter is provided free of charge and without a guarantee of continuous availability. The Provider may change its scope or cease to provide it at any time, which does not affect the paid services.
5. Towards Customers who are neither Consumers nor Entrepreneurs with consumer rights, the Provider's liability is limited to the fees paid by the Customer in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
6. The limitation in paragraph 5 does not apply to damage caused intentionally, nor to cases in which excluding or limiting liability is not permitted under mandatory provisions of law.

§ 14. Termination

1. The Customer may delete their Account at any time, which amounts to terminating the contract for the supply of services by electronic means.
2. The Provider may terminate the contract on 7 days' notice, after an unsuccessful prior request to cease the breach, in the event of a material breach of these Terms, in particular sharing a Licence key with third parties or attempting to circumvent Plan allowances.

§ 15. Changes to the Terms

1. The Provider may change these Terms for important reasons, in particular changes in the law, in the scope of services or in the way payments are settled.
2. Customers holding an Account are notified of a change by email at least 14 days in advance.
3. Contracts concluded before a change takes effect remain governed by the previous version of the Terms until the end of the paid billing period.

§ 16. Final provisions

1. Matters not covered here are governed by Polish law.
2. Paragraph 1 does not deprive a Consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
3. Disputes with a Consumer are settled by the court having jurisdiction under general rules. Disputes with other Customers are settled by the court having jurisdiction over the Provider's registered office.
4. The Provider's panel is made available in several languages. The Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and the Refund Policy exist in Polish and English only; those two versions alone are binding. A translation of the interface into any other language is for information and does not create a language version of these documents. Paragraph 2 continues to apply.
5. These Terms take effect on 28 August 2026.
6. A Customer is bound by the version of the Terms accepted when the Account was created and, in the event of changes, on the terms set out in § 15.
